Cast Iron

Cast iron sinks feature a heavy iron core coated with a thick layer of enamel for a glossy finish. Pros:

  • Extremely durable and long-lasting

  • Glossy finish resists stains and fading

  • Available in a variety of colors

Cons:

  • Very heavy, requiring strong cabinetry for support

  • Enamel coating can chip, exposing the iron underneath

  • More expensive than stainless steel
